The AFSSA considers that it is in the interest of the general public to consume oat soluble fibers (oat beta-glucan)  as they  contribute to the reduction of blood cholesterol levels.

AFSSA considers that the claim, namely that "consumption of OatWell® oat bran containing foods and other eligible oat sources  containing  oat  soluble fibers  (oat beta-glucan) ,  as part of a  balanced diet, without excess of particularly saturated fats, and physical exercise together help to reduce your cholesterol" is scientifically justified and validated as regards to the proven health effect of  OatWell® oat bran containing foods and other eligible sources as well as  for those persons who wish to control their blood cholesterol levels by means of their diet.
