EnergyInBalance Concept

The EnergyInBalance concept is based on the metabolic effect of OatWell oat bran in product applications, where it regulates metabolism from extended blood sugar and insulin utilization. Products in this concept regulate the blood sugar and insulin curve. A slower increase and a longer lasting availability of glucose reduces the glycemic index (GI). This approach can be used in a wide range of OatWell oat bran products.

Functional Properties

Oat ß-glucan control blood sugar and insulin levels by increasing the viscosity in the intestines. The viscosity delays the absorption of glucose into the digestive tract, which leads to the reduction of insulin depletion. The total time of absorbtion is increased and glucose is available longer period of time.
